It is a vatting — a carefully composed blend of exceptionally rare whiskies from The Macallan's private reserves, some dating as far back as the 1940s, assembled to express the distillery's old-fashioned, sherry cask matured house style at its most complete. There is no age statement because the oldest casks in the vatting predate conventional record-keeping. What matters is what's in the glass.
