1998 vintage. Limited Edition. Springbank — a rare vintage single malt from Campbeltown's most celebrated distillery, one of the few remaining family-owned Scottish single malt producers and the only distillery in Scotland that malts, distills, matures, and bottles entirely on-site.
Springbank's commitment to full on-site production — including floor malting a portion of its own barley — is unique in modern Scotch whisky. The result is a house style of unusual depth and complexity, carrying the maritime salt and brine of Campbeltown's coastal position alongside a richness derived from the distillery's traditional two-and-a-half times distillation method.
The 1998 vintage now represents over 25 years of maturation — a long-aged Campbeltown expression from an era when Springbank's whisky was produced in smaller quantities and with even less commercial distribution than today's already-limited releases.
