The Story
127.4 proof. The founding edition. Parker's Heritage Collection 1st Edition 2007 — the inaugural release of Heaven Hill's most prestigious annual bourbon program, named for legendary Master Distiller Parker Beam whose career defined Heaven Hill for four decades.
Parker Beam served as Heaven Hill's Master Distiller from 1975 until his retirement in 2014, following his father Earl Beam in a direct lineage tracing to the earliest Kentucky distilling families. Parker was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) in 2012 — and from 2012 onward, a portion of Parker's Heritage Collection proceeds supported ALS research. He passed away in February 2017.
The 1st Edition (2007) is the founding expression of the entire program — the first time Heaven Hill released the Parker's Heritage label. At cask strength 127.4 proof, it delivers the full Heaven Hill high-rye character uncut and unfiltered. Now over 15 years from its original release, the 1st Edition is the most historically significant and rarest bottle in the Parker's Heritage vertical.
